Located on a greenfield site, the strand plant was designed to establish new industry standards for quality and efficiency. 100% perfect layer wound packaging, superior concrete bonding characteristics, and an extremely consistent Modulus of Elasticity are hallmarks of Insteel’s commitment, resulting in unsurpassed quality and value for its customers. In January 2000, Insteel increased its commitment to its PC strand customers with the acquisition of Florida Wire and Cable. With two production facilities to serve customers nationwide, Insteel has become the largest producer of PC strand in North America.
